Anyone who has ever watched even one episode of THE SIMPSONS would be able to point to a nod or two to the greater realm of pop culture, particularly movies, that exists in the world beyond. They’ve been cleverly and seamlessly integrated into Springfield in a way that isn’t distracting to the specific story being told but definitely recognizable if you’re familiar with where it originated.
