A few reviews for Oliver Stone’s George W. Bush biopic W. have trickled online and the general consensus seems to be that the film is quite…surprising. Not that it’s a masterpiece or sucks goat tits but that it paints quite the fair portrait of ole Dubya, despite the sometimes broad characterizations. Having said that, the cool peeps over at “Maxim” recently conducted a cool interview with Stone where he’s surprisingly candid about the film, the public perception of him and his penchant for politically motivated films. Says the filmmaker: “Look…I did three Vietnam movies, and what good did they do? People still lined up in support of the Iraq war. People don’t remember. It shows you the futility of what we do. But we do it.” Indeed, sir. Read the rest of what he had to say over HERE. Dubya’s life get splashed on the big screen October 17th.
