Cool Horror Videos: Short film comic book adaptation Dead@17: Rebirth

For thirteen years, Josh Howard has been telling the story of teenage demon slayer Nara Kilday in the pages of his comic book series Dead@17. Now director Jack Heller has brought the adventures of Nara to live action in DEAD@17: REBIRTH, an official short film adaptation that serves as the first installment in the "POPBOOM Presents" YouTube/social media series of adaptations of creator owned indie comics. 

The ultimate battle between Good and Evil is about to be fought in the most unlikely of places, and the outcome will depend on the choices of one teenage girl. In the small suburb of Darlington Hills, two friends, Nara Kilday and Hazy Foss, are about to be caught in the middle of a conflict that will change their lives forever. Dead At 17 is a series about friendship, love, loss, destiny, and betrayal, and the choices one must make in the face of ultimate adversity.

Newcomers CC Weske and Lucy Freyer star. To tie in with this adaptation, Howard will be releasing a one-shot comic book and a small run of posters. If you're interested in picking those up, head over to PopBoom.com on March 30th.
