Next month, VCI Entertainment will release the horror classic WHITE ZOMBIE on Blu-ray. The 1932 horror number, which stars Bela Lugosi, received a very loving transfer as you’ll see in the video detailing the restoration process below.
If you haven’t experienced WHITE ZOMBIE before, this new release will be the perfect opportunity; it’s a weird and thoroughly entertaining flick. Here’s the synopsis:
Wealthy Plantation owner Charles Beaumont (Robert Frazer) turns to Voodoo Master Murder Legendre (Bela Lugosi) to lure the woman he loves Madeline Short (Madge Bellamy) away from her fiancé Neil Parker (John Harron), by turning her into zombie. Murder’s intention is to keep Madeline for himself. Neil seeks out Murder Legendre to break the Zombie spell and return Madeline to the world of the living.
