A gadget salesman who is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the `mogwai' but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.
GREMLINS was directed by Joe Dante from a screenplay written by Chris Columbus. Michael Finnell produced and the classic Christmas creature feature featured Zach Galligan as Billy Peltzer, Phoebe Cates as Kate Beringer, Hoyt Axton as Randall "Rand" Peltzer, Polly Holliday as Ruby Deagle, Frances Lee McCain as Lynn Peltzer, Judge Reinhold as Gerald Hopkins, Dick Miller as Murray Futterman, Keye Luke as Mr. Wing, Corey Feldman as Pete Fountaine, Jonathan Banks as Brent Frye, and Howie Mandel as the voice of Gizmo. Warner Bros. released it back on June 8, 1984.
