Ten months ago, indie filmmaker Henrique Couto celebrated Christmas with the release of a short film entitled CHRISTMAS PRESENCE. Now that we've reached the season that I consider to be the "most wonderful time of the year", Couto has again proven to be in the holiday spirit, releasing a new Halloween-set short film with very topical subject matter.
Written and directed by Couto and starring Jessica Bonanno, Rachael Redolfi, Philo Orenstein, Alia Gabrielle Eckhardt, and Matthew King, this short is called SCARY CLOWN and has the following synopsis:
You've read about them lurking in forests and in neighborhoods, but those were just hoaxes… until Halloween night. A young woman is about to find out for herself just how real they are.
With candy, costumes, decorations, trick-or-treaters, and nods to horror icons, SCARY CLOWN has all you could hope to see in a spooky story set on Halloween and is a great way to spend 5 minutes of your holiday season:
