Back in March, New Jersey's North Bergen High School drama club put on a play based on Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic ALIEN. Since then the play has gone viral. To say the least. So much so that Scott himself donated $5,000 bucks to help the high school drama club put on an encore performance that was such a hit that Sigourney Weaver even showed up (see below). And today we have video of the full play for you guys to check out.
Give it a look-see and then let us know what you think! Again this play is based on Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic which began:
In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.
Scott directed ALIEN from a screenplay written by Dan O'Bannon based on a story by O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Gordon Carroll, David Giler, and Walter Hill produced and Weaver's co-stars included Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, and Yaphet Kotto. Jerry Goldsmith provided the music. if for some reason you don't already own ALIEN on Blu-ray you can snag a copy over on Amazon RIGHT HERE.
