Back in 2008 Channel 4 went through the vigorous process of recreating the set of Stanley Kubrick's classic horror film THE SHINING which featured look-a-likes of the cast and crew including Shelley Duvall, Danny Torrance and many others—they did all of this to promote their "Kubrick season" and it's absolutely brilliant. I'm sure some of you guys have seen this already because it has been floating around for quite a while, but for those of you who haven't, it's a must-see!
The TV ad is a 65-second one-take tracking shot that meanders its way through the recreated set of THE SHINING and the attention to detail is jaw-dropping. The entire video is shot as Kubrick's point of view where he ultimately ends up in the director's chair to shoot the famous scene of Danny Torrance riding around the empty hallways of the Overlook Hotel.
