For those of you looking forward to Greg McLean's WOLF CREEK 2, we've got the perfect thing to hold you over until the film finally sets a release date. Penguin Books Australia will be releasing not one, but two novels that explore the past of serial killer Mick Taylor. The novels will be available on February 1st, which are both co-written by the film's writer and director Greg McLean. The first book, titled Wolf Creek: Origin, tells the tale of a young Mick, shedding some light on the events that turned him into a cold-blooded killer. And the second novel, Wolf Creek: Desolation Game, takes place years later when Mick is sent off to Vietnam. This is where he's trained to become a skilled hunter and murderer.
The film itself, WOLF CREEK 2, has yet to be given a release date, but here's what it's about:
The sequel to the smash box office hit, WOLF CREEK 2 reunites viewers with the Australian outback and the film’s murderous bushman. The outback once more becomes a place of horror as another unwitting tourist becomes the prey for crazed, serial-killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor (John Jarratt).
WOLF CREEK 2 is co-written by Greg Mclean and Aaron Sterns and produced by Helen Leake, Steve Topic and Mclean. John Jarratt, who plays the film’s original antagonist, returns in the sequel with Shannon Ashlyn, Ryan Corr, and Phillipe Klaus all co-starring.
