Of all the filmmakers who get referred to as masters of the horror genre, my absolute favorite is NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD director George A. Romero. It's his films that strike the strongest chord with me, and in my opinion the fifteen year stretch in which he made THE CRAZIES, MARTIN, DAWN OF THE DEAD, KNIGHTRIDERS, CREEPSHOW, DAY OF THE DEAD, and MONKEY SHINES is one of the most impressive, awe-inspiring runs of quality a filmmaker can have.
