Contagion gets Demetri Martin, Elliott Gould and more to star!

So far a lot of great news has come out from Steven Soderbergh’s latest international thriller CONTAGION. We’ve got pics of the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow walking around on the set to Josie Ho starring in the flick. 

Whether your’re looking forward to the SARS inspired thriller, there’s no denying the fact that some top stars have decided to lend a hand in Soderbergh’s picture. Now you can add a few more names to that last. 

Demetry Martin (TAKING WOODSTOCK), Jennifer Ehle (SUNSHINE, POSSESSION) Bryan Cranston (BREAKING BAD) and Elliot Gould (OCEAN’S ELEVEN TRILOGY) are all set to star alongside the big names which include Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Geyneth Paltrow, Jude law, John Hawkes, Chin Han and Josie Ho. “An ensemble cast” is what we call that sort of thing.

CONTAGION will be shot on one of Hollywood’s hottest and newest toy RED’S EPIC-X Camera. This will be the first feature film to be shot in a camera that is capable of capturing 5K images. Psyched? You should be. 

The film will be released wide in theaters October 21, 2011 (Oscar season) under the umbrella of the studio known as Warner Bros. Here’s the current synopsis:

As a deadly virus spreads throughout the world, doctors battle to find a cure. But the fear and disinformation that spreads along with the disease proves to be an equally formidable problem.
