Condition of Return trailer: AnnaLynne McCord makes a deal with the devil in September release

Stonecutter Media has announced that they will be giving Aaron’s Blood director Tommy Stovall’s Faustian tale Condition of Return a weeklong theatrical release on September 22nd, and will also be bringing the film to Vudu and Cable VOD on the same date. In anticipation of this release, a trailer for Condition of Return has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

Scripted by John Spare, the film is said to be a “slow burn character study” about “a churchgoing schoolteacher’s descent into darkness, and the lengths she’ll go to reclaim her life”. AnnaLynne McCord of Excision and the more recent version of 90210 stars as Eve Sullivan, who is arrested for committing a heinous crime. Shackled in a police station breakroom, she is questioned by psychoanalyst Dr. Donald Thomas, who is tasked with determining her fitness to stand trial. In a contentious interview, Dr. Thomas persuades Eve to recount her troubling past as she slowly turns the tables, coaxing him into revealing secrets of his own and showing him they may be more alike than he thinks.

McCord is joined in the cast by Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, God’s Not Dead), Natasha Henstridge (Species, Diggstown), and James Russo (Django Unchained, Not a Stranger).

Condition of Return will be playing in theatres in multiple markets across the United States, including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, and Oklahoma City. Following the theatrical, Vudu, and Cable VOD release in September, the film is also set to reach iTunes, Prime Video, and other TVOD Digital Platforms on October 23rd.

Stovall is obviously a director who likes to switch things up every time he makes a movie. He got his directing career started with the crime drama Hate Crime, and has followed that up with the adventure comedy Sedona, the vampire movie Aaron’s Blood, and the obsession thriller Room for Rent. Now he’s bringing us this Faustian character study.
