Coming to America 2 Plot Details from Wesley Snipes

Greetings from the land of Zamunda! It would appear that Mr. Wesley Snipes, one of the new royal cast members of COMING TO AMERICA 2, has graced us with some new details regarding the sequel's plot. Said details revolve specifically around Snipes's character, General Eazie. Here's what PASSENGER 57 had to say:

“I’ll be playing the bad guy. He’s not really a bad guy, he’s just a misunderstood guy. His name is General Eazie, and he is the General who is next door to him. They’re trying to work it out so that the two kingdoms can come together. It would be better for everyone if the kingdoms can come together. If they don’t come together i think there is going to be some sadness all around there. Some people are not going to be too happy.”

Sounds like a character that OG BLADE could really sink his teeth into! It's been over 30 years since the original COMING TO AMERICA hit theaters, so whatever Eddie Murphy and company have cooked up better be some damn funny shit! Considering the film was given the greenlight despite its predecessor being three decades old, I have faith that fans both young and old are in for one soul glowing treat!

COMING TO AMERICA 2 is being directed by HUSTLE & FLOW's Craig Brewer, with Kevin Misher producing courtesy of his Misher Films studio alongside Kenya Barris and Eddie Murphy. Also set to reprise their roles from the original film are Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and Paul Bates with Grammy-nominated actor Rick Ross on board as well. The sequel walks on rose petals into theaters on December 18, 2020.
