Collateral gets comedic edge in first trailer for Stuber

Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani are here to take on you the Uber ride from Hell.

That's right, the first trailer for STUBER is here, and it looks wild, to say the least. In the film, Kumail Nanjiani (THE BIG SICK) plays a down to earth Uber driver who picks up a short tempered cop, played by Dave Bautista (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) who turns out to be hot on the trail of a dangerous murderer.

“It’s basically a comedic COLLATERAL” Bautista told EW last year, while he was still shooting the film. “A surly old veteran detective holds an Uber driver hostage to help him chase around a drug dealer. The script is so funny. It’s really fresh. It’s original. It’s not slapstick. It’s got some good action, it’s got some good twists that make it not generic. It’s really a smart script. I think it’s going to be a really big hit. And Kumail’s just hysterical. He’s on fire right now.”

STUBER directed by Michael Dowse and costars Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino, Karen Gillan.
