We've still got close to two years before we return to JURASSIC WORLD for the third installment of the JURASSIC PARK sequel trilogy, but we'll be getting a taste of Dinosaur action in just a few days in the form of a short film. Colin Trevorrow revealed the poster for BATTLE AT BIG ROCK on Twitter, which is billed as an all-new short film set in the JURASSIC WORLD universe. Check it out!

As you can see, BATTLE AT BIG ROCK is set to debut on FX on September 15th. Colin Trevorrow added a few more details on Twitter, including that it was written by Emily Carmichael (PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING), shot by Larry Fong (KONG: SKULL ISLAND), and will feature a score by Amie Doherty (Legion). The cast includes Andre Holland (Castle Rock), Natalie Martinez (The I-Land), Melody Hurd (FATHERHOOD), and Pierson Salvador (NOS4A2).

After J.A. Bayona took the helm for JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, Colin Trevorrow will be returning to direct JURASSIC WORLD 3, which he has said will be closer in tone to Steven Spielberg's 1993 JURASSIC PARK than either JURASSIC WORLD or JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, saying "If I could contextualize each film, I would say Jurassic World was an action adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller in the same way that Jurassic Park was." Both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be back to complete the trilogy, and it's also been teased that members of the original JURASSIC PARK could return as well.

JURASSIC WORLD 3 is currently slated for a June 11, 2021 release.
