After fighting for the soul of the Valley, war sparks between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do Karate in Netflix‘s Cobra Kai Season 5 trailer. Picking up after the tide-changing events of the All Valley Tournament, Cobra Kai Season 5 finds Terry Silver expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.
When Cobra Kai kicks back into high gear, the new season features The Karate Kid Part III star Sean Kanan as Mike Barnes and Alicia Hannah-Kim’s debut as South Korean sensei Kim Da-Eun.
In the Cobra Kai Season 5 trailer, Terry Silver tightens his vice-like grip on the Valley as Cobra Kai becomes the dominant dojo. The sea change causes Daniel and Johnny to doubt their worth in the art of self-defense, and they’ll need old friends’ help to regain their groove. Meanwhile, Daniel goes off the deep end in his pursuit to rid the Valley of Silver’s influence, costing him more than a few bruises and sore ribs. With Cobra Kai coming for the Valley like a well-oiled machine and employing new talent to lead the next generation of martial arts masters, this could be the end of Miyagi-Do karate as we know it.
Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment and Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka also serve as executive producers.
The cast of Netflix’s Cobra Kai features Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso), William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence), Courtney Henggeler (Amanda LaRusso), Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz), Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene), Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso), Jacob Bertrand (Hawk), Gianni Decenzo (Demetri), Vanessa Rubio (Carmen), Peyton List (Tory) and Martin Kove (John Kreese) with Dallas Dupree Young (Kenny), Oona O’Brien (Devon), Griffin Santopietro (Anthony), Yuji Okumoto (Chozen), and Thomas Ian Griffith (Terry Silver).
