Clue, animated series

Clue was first created by Anthony E. Pratt as a way to pass the time during air-raid drills in England during World War II, and now the classic detective game will be receiving its very own animated series. You love to see it.

Hasbro's Entertainment One (eOne) and Fox Entertainment's Bento Box Entertainment are developing an animated series based on the wildly popular board-game. While there aren't many details about the series just yet, it's said that the Clue series will be "encapsulating the thrilling and suspenseful dynamics that have made Clue a global sensation for more than seven decades." In a statement, President of Entertainment of Fox Entertainment Michael Thorn said, "'Colonel Mustard…In the Conservatory…With the lead pipe.' By just hearing these colorful phrases alone, you immediately know what they mean — leaving no mystery as to why Clue is one of the most beloved board games-turned-IP of all time. We couldn’t be more excited to develop it as an animated series along with eOne and Bento Box." Pancho Mansfield, eOne's President of Global Scripted Programming, added, "We’re thrilled to team up once again with our great partners at Fox and also work with Bento Box on this exciting new series. Clue is an iconic whodunit property that exudes mystery and intrigue, and has fans all over the world. We can’t wait to share our reimagined animated version with audiences." This isn't the only board-game TV series that Hasbro has in the works, as they've also got a TV series based on Risk that will be developed by House of Cards creator Beau Willimon.

While we're talking about Clue, there's also a live-action feature-film that has been in development for a number of years that's set to star Ryan Reynolds. The last we heard, The Muppets director James Bobin was in early talks to direct the project.
