George Clooney has signed on to star in A VERY PRIVATE GENTLEMAN, a movie about an assassin who is forced to hide out in a quaint town and develops complicated and meaningful relationships with the townfolk while there. Anton Corbijn–who directed the Joy Division biopic CONTROL–will helm the film, proving that there is in fact life after post-punk music.
Rowan Joffe is scripting the film, which is based on the Martin Booth novel. Clooney, who is notoriously a private gentleman in real life–especially when it comes to his own love life–is currently single and looking. And by looking, I mean banging everything in sight just because he can.
