Director Nicholas McCarthy's (THE PACT) new creepy-kid horror flick THE PRODIGY starring Taylor Schilling (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) and Jackson Robert Scott (Georgie from director Andres Muschietti's take on Stephen King's IT) looks pretty "scary" to us. But evidently, it had to be re-edited because it was TOO scary! Hurm… Sure thing. Read up on that whole thing HERE.
Anyhow, we're all looking forward to checking out the flick here at AITH and speaking of which, today we have a clip from the movie for you to check out called "He's Here." It features Schilling going into Scott's room in the middle of the night and waking him up from a jumpscare nightmare (band name). Things get creepy from there. You can check out the clip below and then make sure to let us know what you think!
Written by Jeff Buhler (MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, PET SEMATARY) THE PRODIGY stars Schilling in her first foray into the horror genre as
Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles' disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family's safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.
You can check out the new clip and poster (again) below. After looking through all of that let us know if you're excited to check out this new flick in the comments below! And make sure to mark your calendars today so you can catch THE PRODIGY when it opens in theaters nationwide February 8.
