Paramount Pictures has offered up a brand new first-look at their live-action/computer-animated adaptation of CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG and if this is any indication, it's bound to fun for the entire family.
CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG is based on Norman Bridwell's series of children's books of the name. The film follows Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) as she struggles to fit in at home and at school. Soon she discovers a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend. When Clifford becomes a gigantic dog and attracts the attention of a genetics company, Emily and her Uncle Casy (Jack Whitehall) have to fight the forces of greed as they go on the run across New York City. The movie also stars Sienna Guillory, Kenan Thompson, Rosie Perez, and John Cleese.
Clifford the Big Red Dog was first published back in 1963 and the book series helped establish Scholastic as a premier publishing company. The book series became so popular that Clifford became Scholastic's official mascot. The books have spawned various videos, television shows, and now a live-action film that hopes to captivate a new generation of viewers.
Directed by Walt Beck and written by Jay Scherick, David Ronn, Annie Mumolo, and Stan Chervin, CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG is expected to hit screens on November 5, 2021. The film is also celebrating the pets that inspire us. Use the hashtag #LOVEBIG and share a pic of your favorite pet to @CliffordMovie to help them spread the love!
