NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock, launched on Xfinity X1 and Flex yesterday before being available nationally on July 15 and the streamer has released a slew of teaser trailers for some of their content, including the first look at the third season of A.P. Bio.
A.P. Bio, the Mike O’Brien-created comedy starring Glenn Howerton, was canceled by NBC after two seasons but was granted a reprieve on the new streaming service because it has been a strong digital and online performer during its first two seasons on NBC. The series, co-starring Patton Oswalt, Aparna Brielle, Nick Peine, Jacob Houston & Lyric Lewis, follows a former philosophy professor who takes a job teaching AP biology. He eventually uses his students to get back at the people in his life who have wronged him.
I don't follow A.P. Bio myself but I have a few friends that enjoy it. For me, it's cancellation and resurrection on streaming shows that NBC has been paying attention to digital gains and online performance before completing getting rid of their shows. This could bode well for many other NBC series' that may be on the bubble at the network.
A.P. Bio season 3 is expected to debut during Peacock's national launch on July 15. If you're unfamiliar with A.P. Bio, check out the first-look trailer for season one below!
