As our own Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey continues to hustle, schmooze, and work his way through this year's CinemaCon in Las Vegas, he's been making fine use of our official Twitter account, by sharing many of the annual event's biggest highlights with our followers. As I type this, Paul is in attendance at this year's Paramount presentation, where the studio is set to tease information and materials for many of their upcoming releases. While the event is on-going at this time, I thought it would be fun to follow along, and keep up with the showcase in real-time.
Below you'll find a collection of our tweets from the show, along with any and all details we could glean as Paul's fingers hammer away at the info.
Hold onto your butts:
Okay, now seated for the #Paramount presentation. It was a quick race from the press line, but we made it! #CinemaCon

Just saw an extended trailer for #Rocketman and it gave a better picture into their approach to bringing Elton John’s story to life. Looks very “Bohemian Rhapsody” in that way, but certainly with an R-rating. Nice to see these biopics celebrating the artists we love #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019
Definitely feeling #Rocketman more so than I did with prior trailers. I know we sometimes complain about a trailer showing too much, but sometimes we need to see a lot more to be sold and that’s what this extended one did for me #CinemaCon

Just got a look at the trailer for #Crawl from director Alexandra Aja and starring Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. In the vein of 47 Meters Down meets Jaws with alligators and hurricanes. How much more high-concept can you get, eh? #CinemaCon

Got a peek at a longer #DoraAndTheLostCityOfGold trailer. Seems fun enough and certainly something for those that grew up with the books, cartoon, etc. Setting her up as a teenager for this iteration is a wise move. #CinemaCon

Tim Miller is talking about his passion for being a part of The Terminator franchise and has dropped numerous F-bombs so far. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and is legit breaking into tears. #CinemaCon #TerminatorDarkFate

Tim Miller says The Terminator can “split” so that’s a new technology and is going to show us a little tease, although warns it’s not yet complete. #CinemaCon

It should come as no surprise that #TerminatorDarkFate looks awesome. #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019

It’s great to see Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor back in action and she is, INDEED, back in action. We saw a short scene where she arrives to save the day in typical badass Sarah Connor fashion, wielding multiple weapons. #TerminatorDarkFate #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019
Arnold Schwarzenegger says he arrived on set and saw Linda Hamilton doing sit ups and pull ups again just like Terminator 2 and was blown away. Like she never missed a beat. #CinemaCon #TerminatorDarkFate

Arnold says he went on a motorcycle ride with James Cameron where Cameron revealed the idea he had for #TerminatorDarkFate #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019
Back to the footage: We saw a scene where McKenzie Davis’ character “arrives” in Mexico City. She’s a Terminator-esque cyborg and beats the shit out of a bunch of cops while totally nude before stealing some clothes and driving off. #CinemaCon #TerminatorDarkFate
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019
"I’m proud of the movie, I’ve seen it already and it’s fantastic!” – Arnold on #TerminatorDarkFate #CinemaCon

Jim Carrey takes the stage to steal the thunder from the #SonicTheHedgehog trailer, tossing popcorn along the way, then throwing it at the crowd #CinemaCon2019 pic.twitter.com/Z0BfXiOx5A
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 4, 2019
Got a look at the #SonicTheHedgehog trailer, focusing on Sonic teaming up with James Marsden to fight Dr. Robotnik and then got a Jim Carrey-centered version of the trailer where he seems to be back in comedic form. He may well be the best selling point of this one. #CinemaCon

#GeminiMan looks cool. Basically modern day Will Smith vs. Bad Boys era Will Smith in a Cat-and-mouse action thriller. From Ang Lee. With Clive Owen. And Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So, yeah, this looks damn cool. #Cinemacon
