CinemaCon is in full swing in Las Vegas, and our own Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey has been bringing us the goods over the past few days during the various studio presentations, and Disney took the stage this afternoon to share their upcoming slate of films, including AVENGERS: ENDGAME, ALADDIN, STAR WARS: EPISODE IX, THE LION KING, TOY STORY 4, and much more. The presentation opened with a sizzle reel which found Disney properties intermingling with their new 20 Century Fox family, just in case you'd forgotten about the enormous merger between the two companies. You can expect a more in-depth video wrap-up later on, but here's what Paul had to say about the panel!
Hey kids! @arcticninjapaul here again and seated for the #Disney presentation at #CinemaCon Think they’ll show anything cool? pic.twitter.com/JjNJKsRlH9

Just saw an opening sizzle that showcased the Fox/Disney merger with all the key titles intermingled, including all the Fox properties like Avatar, Predator, Aliens, Kingsman, X-Men (including Dark Phoenix), The Simpsons and so much more. Kind of amazing. #CinemaCon

Also saw the traditional Disney Logo, 20th Century Fox, Blue Sky, Pixar and Fox Searchlight logos onscreen. #CinemaCon

"You’ll be seeing more of Deadpool in the years ahead” – from the Fox opening at #CinemaCon

Just saw a 25th Anniversary sizzle reel for Fox Searchlight and it really is such a magnificent line-up of films. Really hope Disney continue to embrace that arm of Fox and keep producing great films. #CinemaCon

Seeing the Disney and Fox properties merged really does highlight how much Disney has tipped the scales in their favor. #CinemaCon

Oh, and in that opening sizzle we got a quick peek at some Ford V. Ferrari and Episode IX footage, so I expect we may see some more from these today. #CinemaCon

Aaaaand, wind out of the room; they just said NO Star Wars footage will be shown today. What we did see was a shot of Finn, Rey, Chewy and Poe getting in the Millennium Falcon cockpit. #CinemaCon

Just saw a scene from #AvengersEndGame. I’ll give you the chance to checkout if you want to avoid spoilers. GO NOW. #CinemaCon

Okay, I’ll just give bare bones and will elaborate in our video after this. Basically, saw a scene about how to find and confront Thanos. I’ll elaborate more in the post-video for this presentation. Save you the spoilers. #CinemaCon

Got a longer #DarkPhoenix trailer peek and it’s really shaping up more and more as a solid flick. Lots more focus on action and Jean Grey’s embrace of her powers. They are calling it a proper send off to their Fox X-Men series. #CinemaCon

Just saw a trailer for #FordVFerrari from director @mang0ld and starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, which looks like a brilliant high-octane race movie with all the scene chewing you can handle from some powerhouse creators. Really looks amazing. Can’t miss it. #CinemaCon

Got a look at the full musical number from #Aladdin when Aladdin first releases the Genie in the cave. Really energetic and full of visual flair. Looks fun! #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 3, 2019
Got peek at an extended scene from #TheLionKing which was a recreation of the “Everything the Sun Touches” scene between Simba and his dad. Same excellent CGI as Jungle Book and it’s great to hear James Earl Jones’ voice again. This one will slay the box office. #CinemaCon

Got a BTS look at #MaleficentMistressofEvil with some finished footage. Looks like a worthwhile sequel to fans of the first with Michelle Pfiefer taking on a role as a bane to Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent. Might benefit from not having to live up to a cartoon. #CinemaCon

They’re moving fast through this one, so one other pick-up: Earlier they mentioned that Disney would be embracing things like Kingsman, Alien, Apes, Avatar, Deadpool, etc., and will continue to make the Bohemian Rhapsody's, The Martian's, The Greatest Showman’s etc. #CinemaCon
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 3, 2019
They’re about to share the first 17 minutes of #ToyStory4 so will be off the grid. We will be doing a video wrap up with more details on the #Disney panel here at #CinemaCon shortly.
— JoBlo.com (@joblocom) April 3, 2019
#ToyStory4 footage was good. About what you’d expect (which is always a good thing) and it gives a picture into some of the threads they’ll follow for this one. Will discuss at length in our video wrap-up. At this point, you know if you’re seeing it or not anyway. #CinemaCon

As I mentioned earlier, you can expect more from Paul in the form of a Disney presentation wrap-up video later on. This isn't the end of CinemaCon 2019 however as tomorrow will bring the Paramount Pictures presentation. With films such as PET SEMATARY, TERMINATOR: DARK FATE, and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG on their slate, who knows what they'll be teasing?
