Cillian Murphy will reteam with Christopher Nolan on Dunkirk

When Christopher Nolan enjoys working with a particular actor, there's a very good chance that you'll see that actor pop up in future Nolan productions. Nolan's latest project is set to reunite him with longtime collaborator Cillian Murphy as The Wrap reports that Murphy will be joining the cast of Christopher Nolan's upcoming World War II drama DUNKIRK.

DUNKIRK will tell the story of Operation Dynamo, in which Allied soldiers were evacuated from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk after being cut off and surrounded by the German army during the Battle of France. Production on DUNKIRK is expected to kick off this May with Nolan shooting the film on IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film and using many of the real locations where these events occured. Christopher Nolan opted to fill many of the lead roles with relative newcomers like Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden, Aneurin Barnard, and Harry Styles, but Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, and Kenneth Branagh will also be involved in supporting roles. Any bets on when Nolan's good-luck charm Michael Caine will be joining the cast?

DUNKIRK will be in theaters on July 21, 2017.
