Chucky season 2 is now filming, Brad Dourif and 7 others confirmed to be returning

The Wrap reports that filming has officially begun on Chucky season 2 – and now that cameras are rolling, they were also able to confirm the names of eight cast members who will be reprising the roles they played in season 1. As we heard a few weeks ago, one of those cast members is Jennifer Tilly, who will once again be playing Tiffany Valentine. Another returning cast member is Brad Dourif, because Chucky needs his voice. Also on board are Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle, and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

A follow-up to all of the Child’s Play movies (remake excluded), Chucky picks up where Cult of Chucky left off. Mancini, who has written every Child’s Play film (except that remake) and directed a few of them, developed Chucky with producer David Kirschner. Mancini and Kirschner are executive producing Chucky with Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, and Nick Antosca. Mancini also directed the first episode. The show’s synopsis:

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Chucky, which aired on the NBCUniveral cable networks Syfy and USA, reached 11.6 million viewers across all platforms during the first season. Season 2 is expected to start airing sometime this fall.

For as long as they make new entries in the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise, I will be watching them. So I will definitely be tuning in for Chucky season 2. Will you be watching? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
