Christopher McQuarrie putting “finishing touches” on M:I 6 trailer

Are you like me and are dying to see what kind of insane stunt Tom Cruise has planned for us this year in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6? We won’t have to wait that much longer to get a look at it because director Christopher McQuarrie just teased the world by taking to social media to hint that the trailer is almost ready to be seen.

McQuarrie made use of Instagram to show off a picture of what must be the editing bay where he and the crew are working on the M:I 6 trailer, saying they’re putting on the “finishing touches.” You can never have enough shots of Cruise sprinting at top speed, so chances are they’re trying to cram them all into 2 minutes.

Regarding the trailer’s contents, we can expect to see a lot of Cruise running around and leaping from surface to surface, and probably a few motorcycle chases. This movie has a lot to live up to in terms of stunt work, with the last two movies featuring death-defying stunts done by Cruise. Word is Cruise spent a year training for the stunt in this movie, so it will be beyond epic to see in theaters, and hopefully, we get a glimpse of it in the trailer.

We don’t know a ton about this movie, and that includes its full title. Why all the sneakiness? I don’t know. That just means there’s a lot of pressure to make sure the first trailer is top-notch, which won’t be hard to do when you have Cruise doing his thing in his element.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6 hits theaters July 27.
