Christine Taylor will be back for Zoolander 2

Back in November ZOOLANDER 2 was made official (finally) with the casting of Penelope Cruz. The much-talked about sequel hasn’t been in the news since then but one can hope that with the latest casting news that’s it’s finally rolling again. Original ZOOLANDER alum Christine Taylor has confirmed that she is involved in sequel too!

Here’s what she told EW:

I can tell you that I’m involved, but that’s all I can say.  I can tell you it’s happening, but I can’t tell you where Matilda’s at and where their relationship is at.  It’s all top secret!

Taylor played journalist Matilda Jeffries in the first film and by the time the credits hit she was happy with Derek and their son. It’s not a huge surprise that she would return, she’s worked with her husband Ben Stiller on DODGEBALL and TROPIC THUNDER since and those worked out pretty well I would say. She does says "it's happening" which sounds confident, which should provide some more assurance that the movie will actually happen. Still, I’ll believe it when I see it.
