Christian Bale is one of my favorite actors of all time. No joke. From EMPIRE OF THE SUN to BATMAN BEGINS, the man has amazed me with his superior acting and presence.



American Cinemathique has announced a Christian Bale marathon that will feature films starring the actor. The films include 3:10 TO YUMA, AMERICAN PSYCHO and BATMAN BEGINS, all films that I think are absolutely brilliant.

Equally at home in risky, provocative independent films like AMERICAN PSYCHO and HARSH TIMES as he is at the center of smart mainstream fare like BATMAN BEGINS, Christian Bale gives all of his roles an authenticity and intensity that few other actors can match. The Aero welcomes Mr. Bale for a program of some of his finest performances, including his recent turn as a complex Western hero in 3:10 TO YUMA and his most physically and mentally unsettling role as the title character of THE MACHINIST.
