While actor Dave Bautista has been very vocal about his feelings regarding the firing of James Gunn from directing GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, the rest of the cast has been less open. Star Chris Pratt spoke about the matter a bit more during an interview with the Associated Press, saying “it’s not an easy time” for him or the cast after the director was let go almost a month ago.

During the interview, Pratt said the whole situation came as a shock to him, which affected his time at Comic-Con while he was there promoting THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART. Because of the news, he ended up canceling most of his interviews and appearances. He then got into why the situation is so complicated not just for him, but the rest of the cast.
“It’s not an easy time. We all love James and he’s a good friend of ours, but we also really love playing the Guardians of the Galaxy,” he said. “It’s a complicated situation for everybody.”
He also spoke about the statement he and the rest of cast signed and posted on social media which defended Gunn, asking Disney to reconsider their move to fire him.
“All I know is we put a lot of time, thought, and effort in the statement we released about it,” he said. “I think we all want that statement to be essentially what we have to say about it, and we were pretty clear and honest about how we feel.”

When the interviewer asked if Pratt still wants Gunn to be rehired he simply told him that what was said in the statement is what he has to say on the matter.
“Well, if you go on my Twitter feed you can see if the post is still tweeted, and if it is I think that will be what I have to say about it.”
