After joining forces to great effect in The Tomorrow War, Chris Pratt and Sam Richardson are set to reunite for Standard Asset, a new action-comedy for Universal Pictures.
Standard Asset is set to be written by Jen D’Angelo and Sam Richardson, who also served as on-set writers on The Tomorrow War. Unfortunately, beyond the information that I’ve already given you, the rest of the project is being kept in the dark for the time being. The pair had some fantastic chemistry in The Tomorrow War, so it’s easy to understand why Chris Pratt and Sam Richardson would want to get the band back together for a new film.
In addition to The Tomorrow War, Sam Richardson was most recently seen in Werewolves Within. Jen D’Angelo is also working on the Hocus Pocus sequel which is slated to kick off production this fall. As for Chris Pratt, he’s got a couple of major films just over the horizon, including Thor: Love and Thunder on May 6, 2022, and Jurassic World: Dominion on June 10, 2022. There’s also a Tomorrow War sequel in development and it’s expected that the whole creative team will return for the sequel. This includes director Chris McKay, screenwriter Zach Dean, and stars Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, and J.K. Simmons.
