Chris Pine was never offered Green Lantern, only Wonder Woman

Chris Pine was never going to be Hal Jordan, contrary to whatever rumors were floating around about the prospect early last year. That’s the word from the man himself as he denied, in an interview with Collider, that he was ever in conversations to play the Green Lantern for Warner Bros. proposed GREEN LANTERN CORPS that is supposed to fit somewhere into the DC Cinematic Universe along the way.

No. I was not offered Green Lantern ever, I’ve never had a conversation about Green Lantern.

Well, that settles that.

Pine is still going to be an integral part of the DCU, though it won’t be sporting one of those rings. Instead he’ll be playing Steve Trevor, opposite Gal Gadot, in WONDER WOMAN in what I’ve been hearing is a much meatier role than your basic love interest.

Now, as for who might be involved as one of the Green Lanterns down the line, let the speculation once again commence.
