Chris O’Dowd and Amy Landecker cast in The Twilight Zone episode

We're less than two weeks away from the CBS All Access premiere date for the latest iteration of the classic anthology series The Twilight Zone, and details on one of the episodes has just been revealed.

Deadline brought us the news that actor / comedian Chris O'Dowd, who may be best known for his roles in BRIDESMAIDS (pictured above) and the Get Shorty TV series, will be starring in an episode of The Twilight Zone alongside Amy Landecker of the Amazon show Transparent.

The O'Dowd and Landecker episode is titled The Blue Scorpion… And that's all we know about it, because the makers of this show have been very secretive. There's no hint at why the episode is called The Blue Scorpion, but blue scorpions do exist and some cancer patients have tried to use their venom, which is on the market as a "homeopathic medication", as a form of treatment.

This version of The Twilight Zone will be hosted and narrated by GET OUT writer/director Jordan Peele. The first season is set to run for ten episodes.

Sanaa Lathan is in an episode titled Rewind, Adam Scott stars in Nightmare at 30,000 Feet, an update of the classic Twilight Zone story Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (which goes in a different direction than its 20,000 Feet predecessors); Jacob Tremblay, Erica Tremblay, John Cho, and Allison Tolman are in an episode called The Wunderkind, about a child President; Steven Yeun and Greg Kinnear star in an episode called The Traveler, which is about two cops and a mysterious traveler (Yeun being the traveler in question); Ginnifer Goodwin, James Frain, and Zabryna Guevara are in an episode titled Point of Origin; and Kumail Nanjiani is in an unspecified episode. Other stars of unspecified episodes include Zazie Beetz and Betty Gabriel; DeWanda Wise, Jessica Williams, Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White, and Jonathan Whitesell; Taissa Farmiga, Rhea Seehorn, Luke Kirby, Ike Barinholtz, and Percy Hynes-White; and Seth Rogen.

One of those unspecified episodes may be Last Shuttle, which is about 

a group of astronauts dealing with a crisis.

So there's a chance we at least know the lead actors of all ten episodes, even if we don't know all of the titles.

The Twilight Zone is being produced by Peele's company Monkeypaw, Simon Kinberg's Genre Films, and CBS Television Studios. Peele and Kinberg serve as executive producers alongside Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Rick Berg, Marco Ramirez, Greg Yaitanes, and Carol Serling.

THE FIRST PURGE director Gerard McMurray directed at least one of the episodes.

Two episodes will be available for viewing on CBS All Access on Monday, April 1st. The remaining eight will be released weekly on Thursdays.
