Chris Hemsworth wraps on Ghostbusters; has never laughed so much in his life

A little over two months ago Paul Feig announced that Chris Hemsworth had joined his GHOSTBUSTERS reboot as the team's new receptionist, a role brilliantly inhabited by the dry and witty Annie Potts in the original film. A photo released earlier this week showed Chris Hemsworth having the time of his life astride a Ghostbusters bike and now it looks as though the actor's adventure with the Ghostbusters is at an end.

Chris Hemsworth announced that he had just wrapped on GHOSTBUSTERS and took to Twitter to praise the cast and crew as well as mention that he'd never laughed so much in his life.

An actor 'aving a laugh on the set of a comedy film shouldn't be indicative of its final quality, even if this is Thor we're talking about, but hopefully we can take this as a positive sign. We haven't seen much outside of the set photos, but I've enjoyed what we've seen so far and am looking forward to seeing what Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Neil Casey, Michael K. Williams, and Andy Garcia have in store for us. Both Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray will be making cameo appearances in the film, lending it a small boost when it comes to passing the torch to this new team.

GHOSTBUSTERS will hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
