To infinity … and beyond! Wait. Nope, wrong movie. Avengers assemble! Ugh. You know what, never mind. Let's just kick this news off the olf fashioned way, shall we?
Paramount Pictures is causing quite the stir this afternoon, after announcing that AVENGERS: ENDGAME star Chris Evans is in talks to lead an adaptation of The Reincarnationist Papers for THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN helmer Antoine Fuqua titled INFINITE. Based on the novel penned by author D. Eric Maikranz, the story is said to center around Evan Michaels, a man who was haunted by memories of two past lives and stumbles upon a centuries-old secret society of similar individuals who make up the Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives and whose members have been agents of change throughout history. Michaels seeks to join their ranks.
Set to be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian of Par-based Di Bonaventura Pictures, with Rafi Crohn executive producing, INFINITE will see its script written by John Lee Hancock and Ian Shorr.
As for Evans, the real-life social justice warrior is set to play Steve Rogers aka Captain America for one last time when Joe and Anthony Russo's AVENGERS: ENDGAME takes the Marvel Universe (and the rest of the world) by storm beginning on April 26th. Hailed as the finale for over a decade's worth of films belonging to the MCU, Endgame will take place after the devastating events of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, an event that left the MCU in ruins. With the help of his remaining allies, Captain America the Avengers will assemble once more in order to undo Thanos' actions and restore order to the universe.
Following his Marvel swan song, Evans is set to star in Rian Johnson's (STAR WARS: Episode VIII -THE LAST JEDI) murder mystery KNIVES OUT. Joining Evans for Johnson's first flick since setting the world on fire with his divisive chapter of the Star Wars universe are Ana de Armas, Toni Collette, Daniel Craig, Michael Shannon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lakeith Stanfield, Christopher Plummer, and Don Johnson.
