Like many of you, we're super-stoked to see Bong Joon-ho's SNOWPIERCER, but we want to see it the way the director intended and not with the cuts that The Weinstein Company have reportedly asked for. And while we're still waiting to hear word as to when we'll have the chance to check this badboy out, we'll have to settle for whatever we get tossed our way.
Today we have 2 new (very short) featurettes for SNOWPIERCER for you to check out. The first features star Chris Evans talking about his involvement with the film and what we can expect to see, while the second features Tilda Swinton explaining why she wanted to make this particular film in the first place. It's all pretty interesting stuff and it showcases some footage that we haven't seen before. Check 'em out!
Based on the French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige," SNOWPIERCER is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
We are still unsure when SNOWPIERCER will be released stateside, but supposedly the film will debut later this year (and let's hope it's without those damn cuts!).
SNOWPIERCER stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Brewmner, Alison Pill, John Hurt and Ed Harris.
