Everyone loves cheesy movies, right? And who doesn’t like that warm feeling you get in your stomach when you help out the unfortunate; especially at this time of the year? Well, last year NERDCAGE LIVE (which comes to us from our very own writer/editor Jay Saint G) did a charity stream called Cheesy Movies For Charity where they watched various bad movies. Since they smashed their goal last year, they’re bringing it back for another one. We here at JoBlo are all about giving back, so we wanted to make sure to highlight a cause we care about this Holiday Season.
When Is This Happening?
Check out NerdCage LIVE on Saturday, December 16th (that’s TODAY) at Noon EST, as they do a Bad Movie Watch Party, all in the name of St Jude’s Children’s Hospital! St Jude does a ton of wonderful things, so make sure you check out their website to see why they’re such an awesome organization. Joining Jay will be myself (Hi, I’m Tyler and I love bad movies) as well as various other content makers. It should be an absolute blast so make sure you tune in and donate!
What Are The Movies?
But I’m sure you’re wondering, what exactly bad movies will be watched? We’ve got quite the lineup of new and old films so there’s a little bit of something for everybody! All times are EST.
12PM – Double Dragon (1994) | via Tubi
2PM – Samurai Cop (1991) | via Tubi
4PM – Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) | via YouTube
6PM – Batman: The Movie (1966) | via MAX
8PM – Moonfall (2022) | via MAX
NOTE: due to copyright, we CANNOT show the films on the stream, but there will be a TIMER DISPLAY on screen which is synched up to the movies we are watching. All 5 Movies are available to watch on streaming services. There will be intermissions in between each film (we will play St Judes Ads, NerdCage Ads/Promos, and parody commercials) We will link each movie in the description.
What Are The Goals?
$1000 – Initial Goal – We will do ANOTHER Cheesy Movies For Charity next year!
$1500 – 2nd Goal – NerdCage LIVE will give away a branded hoodie from their Tee Public merchstore via Random Drawing
$2000 – FINAL GOAL – Jay Saint G (Co-Host and writer/editor for JoBlo) will cut off all of his hair and DONATE IT.
How Do I Donate?
You can donate at THIS LINK (and will be shared on ALL NerdCage LIVE social media (FB Group, YT Community Post, Instagram, Discord, X (formerly Twitter). We will be updating this page once the Stream is live on Saturday with a link. NerdCage will be using the Tiltify App, which will send the money directly to St. Jude.
