If you don’t know who Andy Park is, you certainly will after checking these out. Mr. Park is the Concept Illustrator extraordinaire who’s worked on almost every single Marvel movie to date. THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA, IRON MAN, AVENGERS . . . you name it, he did it. Of course, his most recent work can be seen in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. As we all know, when adapting a comic for the big screen, not everything can be translated as is. Andy’s one of the men who helps to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality and pave the way for what the characters will look like in the finished film. GUARDIANS really nailed all of its designs, but Mr. Park was good enough to show us some of his unused work.
Take a look:

I’m actually really glad that (SPOILERS) Nebula Darth Vader’d her way out at the end of GUARDIANS. I think her and Gamora share an interesting dynamic and there’s some good drama to be mined there if handled correctly. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY captured audiences with its characters, and I think it can risk taking them to not necessarily a darker place for it’s sequel, but one in which humor doesn’t have to be relied upon. We love the characters, now give us a compelling sequel!
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is now in theaters!
