Check out the trailer for the Tremors TV series which Syfy passed on

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Back in 2015, Universal Television and Blumhouse Productions got the ball rolling on a TV series for Syfy based upon TREMORS which would find Kevin Bacon returning to reprise his role of Valentine McKee for the first time since the original film. A pilot was produced which was directed by Vincenzo Natali (Hannibal) and took place 25 years after the 1990 film. When the Graboids returned to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting Nevada desert town of Perfection, it would be up to the aged, alcoholic Valentine McKee to once again save humanity. However, last month Kevin Bacon revealed that Syfy had passed on the pilot, sharing an Instagram post which said, "Sad to report that my dream of revisiting the world of Perfection will not become a reality. Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward. Thanks to our killer cast and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard. And always keep one eye out for GRABOIDS!" Although a TREMORS TV series may not be in our future, we can at least get a look at what might have been in a leaked trailer for the pilot, and I've got to say, I'm a little disappointed we won't get to see it, because Kevin Bacon is just fantastic.

Does the TREMORS series look like something you might have enjoyed? Was Syfy foolish to pass on it?
