GEMINI MAN is slated to hit theaters in less than two weeks, but the project had been stuck in development hell for decades before Ang Lee finally brought it to life. A variety of directors have have been attached to GEMINI MAN over the years, including Joe Carnahan (THE GREY), who recently re-shared a sizzle reel of his concept for the film which he presented to Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Joe Carnahan's vision for GEMINI MAN would have seen Clint Eastwood taking on the leading roles, that of the aging government assassin and his younger clone. Although this has been around for a few years, it's worth watching for a glimpse into what could have been. I would have been down for this, but the technology just wasn't there at the time. In addition to Eastwood, actors such as Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage, and more all circled the project at one time or another.
