If you weren't able to attend San Diego Comic Con this year then you missed out on quite a few kick ass presentations from the illustrious Hall H, one of which featured a title teaser for THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, which was introduced by director Joss Whedon with simply, "I don't have anything to say. But, I do have something to add," which then opened with the below footage. It served as the announcement of the title for the sequel to the mega-hulk-smash hit THE AVENGERS and divided the audience in two ways: 1) Excitement for those who knew who Ultron was and 2) Google for those that didn't.
Get it while it's hot!:
While Whedon has said that he's using the title of AGE OF ULTRON purely for the name and not as an adaptation of the actual comic from earlier this year (which would be impossible anyways, seeing as Wolverine, Invisible Woman, and Mr. Fantastic play such key roles) and that the origin of Ultron would be somewhat revamped from comic lore. I'm all good with it, personally, as Whedon built up a hell of an amount of trust with THE AVENGERS and seems commited to delivering a worthy sequel.
THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
