20th Century Fox has switched off the No Vacancy sign for the upcoming thriller BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE by inviting guests to check out the latest trailer for director Drew Goddard's gritty ensemble feature. In the film, seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption – before everything goes to hell.
Directed and written by Goddard, the LOST alum has assembled an impressive cast for his latest feature, including: Chris Hemsworth (THOR: RAGNAROK), Dakota Johnson (SUSPIRIA), Jon Hamm (BABY DRIVER), Nick Offerman (PARKS AND RECREATION), Jeff Bridges (THE BIG LEBOWSKI), Cailee Spaeny (PACIFIC RIM UPRISING), Lewis Pullman (THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT), Cynthia Erivo (CHAOS WALKING), Manny Jacinto (THE GOOD PLACE) and more!
In researching the film, I've come to discover that Hamm's character is vacuum salesman, which is quite the departure from his work as an ad space and cancer stick pusher for MAD MEN's Sterling Cooper & Partners. Moving down the line, we find Dakota Johnson in the role of a mysterious felon, Chris Hemsworth the leader of a cult, and Jeff Bridges as a not-so-holy man of the cloth. The El Royale itself overlooks Lake Tahoe, and straddles the line between the Nevada and California border. If you're thinking about checking in, you might want to pack yourself some protective gear, a weapon, and keep plenty of gas in the tank of your fastest getaway car.
You can check in to BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE when it opens in theaters on October 5th.
