On Friday we brought you several new images from Gilles Paquet-Brenner's upcoming adaptation of Gillian Flynn's DARK PLACES, which stars Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult, and today we have the first clip from the thriller to share with you.
This clip, titled 'Kill Club', finds Theron's Libby Day getting a tour of the Kill Club from Nicholas Hoult's Lyle. The Kill Club is a place where crime enthusiasts gather to share information and attempt to solve cases. It also plays host to some strange cosplay where people dress as infamous murderers and victims.
DARK PLACES was just released in theaters in France but there still isn't any word on when we can expect to see it hit North American cinemas. We'll keep you posted.
DARK PLACES also stars Christina Hendricks, Chloe Grace Moretz, Corey Stoll, Sterling Jerins, Drea de Matteo and Tye Sheridan. Taking place in two separate timelines, DARK PLACES goes like this:
DARK PLACES tells the story of Libby Day (Charlize Theron), a woman who, at the age of 7, survives the massacre of her family and testifies against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later, a group obsessed with solving notorious crimes confronts her with questions about the horrific event. Told in a series of flashbacks from the points of view of Libby’s mother, Patty, and her brother, Ben, Libby is forced to revisit that fateful day and begins to question what exactly she saw – or didn’t see – the night of the tragedy.
