Charlie Sheen to play the president in Machete Kills

This is kind of hilarious. I buy Martin Sheen as the President of the United States (cause I’ve seen it), but Charlie Sheen? I guess if you have enough tiger blood in you then you can do anything.

Is this a surprise? No, not really. We are already accustomed to the kind of actors that Robert Rodriguez cast in his films (same goes for Tarantino).

The news came via Rodriguez’s Twitter page then followed by a retweet from Sheen.

Rodriguez: “I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…

Sheen: “My Fellow Americans! RT @Rodriguez just cast @CharlieSheen #machetekills as President of the United States! More soon!”

As Rodriguez said, we will get more soon. What we do know is that Machete comes back and is drafted by the U.S. government to track an arms dealer through Mexico before he launches a weapon Stateside. I’ve always liked Charlie Sheen, well actually, I’ve always liked the entire Sheen family including Emilio. He’s always been my favorite.

Can’t wait to see Sheen’s presidential side.
