It’s not hard to believe that any idea can be turned into a movie. From icy thrillers (FROZEN) to underground claustrophobia (BURIED), horror/thriller films have come in many shapes and sizes. I’m here to report to you today that there is another movie of the likes that is heading its way to you within the coming year.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Charisma Carpenter (THE EXPENDABLES, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) has just been set to star alongside Ty Olsson (2012, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) in an indie thriller titled CRASH. New title eh?
And what about this movie? The story centers on a family vacation in the woods, during which a couple must fight their way back to civilization through injuries, creepy critters and wild animals after their Jeep crashes. So we’re going to follow a couple’s thrilling adventures as they trek back to civilization? Sounds like OPEN WATER without the water. The flick just began principal photography in Vancouver with Jason Bourque (THE DOOMSDAY SCROLLS) calling the shots. Jack and Joseph Nasser (DAMAGE) are behind his shoulder producing.
Even if the synopsis bites I’ll still be there to see a sweaty and dirty Charisma Carpenter trudging through trees and shit. Somehow that gal sells the flick. You guys feeling the same vibe or is this passable? Let us know below the pic of Carpenter herself.
