Quite an impressive cast was assembled for writer/director Adam Sigal’s reincarnation thriller Chariot. The film stars Thomas Mann (Halloween Kills), Rosa Salazar (Brand New Cherry Flavor), Scout Taylor Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Vernon Davis (Baywatch), and Chris Mullinax (Out of the Fight), with Shane West (Dracula 2000) and the legendary John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich). We’ll get to see those actors share the screen when Saban Films gives Chariot a theatrical, VOD, and digital release on April 15th – and a trailer has been released online to give a preview of what’s in store for us. Described as a “dark and twisted thriller”, Chariot stars Malkovich as
Dr. Karn, an odd, eccentric specialist who guides unknowing patients through the reincarnation transition. When Harrison (Thomas Mann) experiences mysterious recurring dreams, he turns to Dr. Karn for help and reveals his encounter with a woman (Rosa Salazar) he loved in a previous life. Noticing a glitch in the system, the doctor must fix the issue before permanently derailing his patient’s future.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena is also in the cast, as are Cassandra Gava (Conan the Barbarian) and producers Carol Anne Watts (Attack of the Alien Jelly Monsters from the Depths of Uranus) and Henry Penzi (Boss Level).
Watts and Penzi produced Chariot with Johnny Remo and Sasha Yelaun. Cassandra Gava and Melissa McPhail serve as executive producers. Jonathon Goodro and Siena Oberman co-produced.
