Vanity Fair has just released a bunch of new spooky stills for the upcoming series horror series Chapelwaite, based on Stephen King's 1978 short story Jerusalem's Lot, itself a prequel to his previous 1975 novel Salem's Lot about "vampires infiltrating a contemporary American small town". You can check them out below at the bottom of the article!
Here's the official synopsis for the show:
Boone inherits an old estate from his last surviving relative and decides to start a new life in the ancestral family mansion, a rundown structure known to the locals as Chapelwaite. The sounds within the walls lead him to uncover other Boone family secrets that trace back to the Puritan age, a time of witchcraft, superstition, ancient curses, and original sins—and a vanished community with the biblical moniker of Jerusalem’s Lot.
Meanwhile, the 10-episode Chapelwaite series – starring Adrien Brody and Emily Hampshire – will premiere on EPIX this August!
So what do you guys think? Fans of the short story? If so, looking forward to the show? Either way, sound off below!
