Channing Tatum won’t be in a Ghostbusters movie

Looks like the so-called “male-centric” GHOSTBUSTERS has hit a major snag. One of the proposed stars of the film, Channing Tatum, has evidently soured on the project before it even really got off the ground.

The first rumblings of trouble came earlier in the week, when Tatum appeared on the Howard Stern Show earlier in the week and said things “have gotten messy” on the project. As you’re well aware, Paul Feig is currently helming a lady-filled GHOSTBUSTERS starring Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy; it might be nice to wait and see how that turns out before we jumpstart a side-franchise. I know, Sony, everyone’s got cinematic universes but you, but be patient. Hey, how about focusing on the MEN IN BLACK/21 JUMP STREET crossover first? That actually sounds a bit more fun.
