Channing Tatum wants to tell a Peter Pan story, son

Actor Channing Tatum probably immediately makes you think of a magical effeminate flying boy, right?

If he truly does, maybe you should seek help. But regardless of your own psychological requirements, Tatum is actually pursuing a PETER PAN project at the moment. Perhaps it’s some unorthodox way to satisfy his curious affinity for hats.

Heat Vision says that Tatum, along with screenwriter Billy Ray (STATE OF PLAY, upcoming THE HUNGER GAMES) and producer Joe Roth (ALICE IN WONDERLAND), are currently shopping some kind of origin story about author’s J.M. Barrie’s mischievous (and conveniently public domain) airborne lad.

No concrete details are available, but the project, titled PETER PAN BEGINS, would be a starring vehicle for Tatum. However that would work.

A modernized horror version of the Pan tale has also been in the works for several years, once with Guillermo del Toro attached.
