Cassandra Peterson, aka Elvira aka ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK took to Instagram this past weekend for a Q&A and let loose some pretty killer news. Not only does it look like she's giving serious thought to returning for ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK 2 but she also went ahead and fueled the fanboy fire a bit higher by mentioning that there are talks to bring "some form" of her classic Elvira's Movie Macabre to – wait for it – Netflix!
Holy shite, right?
Specifically, she said this regarding ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK 2:
I'm giving this some serious thought. A LOT of people ask this question, so I'm thinking one more… we'll see!
And here's what she said about Elvira's Movie Macabre coming to Netflix:
I'm working on it!
I don't know about you, but I'd kill for some more Elvira in my life. Whether it turns out to be a new Netflix series or a sequel to ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK, whatever it ends up being, I'll take it. Let's just hope these aren't pipedreams that will never come true. After today's tease that might just be too much to take. So if anyone from the streaming giant supreme is reading this: Bring Elvira back, Netflix! There, I've done my part.
The original ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK was directed by James Signorelli from a screenplay written by Sam Egan, John Paragon, and Peterson. Eric Gardner and Mark Pierson produced and Peterson's co-stars included W. Morgan Sheppard, Daniel Greene, Jeff Conaway, Susan Kellermann, and Edie McClurg. Until we hear more on this possible sequel, you can snag the original film for yourself or a loved one on Blu-ray HERE!
