STX Entertainment has announced several of their planned releases for 2016, including the horror-thriller THE BYE BYE MAN. The film, directed by Stacy Title, is based on the Robert Damon Schneck short story "The Bridge to Body Island" and adapted by the aptly named Jonathan Penner (perhaps best known as Captain Air Traffic from CONEHEADS because Hollywood never ceases to be a fascinating and strange beast).
THE BYE BYE MAN, which will say hello to theaters on October 14, 2016, is about:
Three college students who move off-campus and unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity.
The three college students will be played by Douglas Smith (STAGE FRIGHT), Cressida Bonas, and Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens).
THE BYE-BYE MAN stars Carrie-Anne Moss (THE MATRIX), Faye Dunaway (BONNIE AND CLYDE, CHINATOWN, and no I'm not kidding), Michael Trucco (WISHMASTER 4), and Doug Jones (PAN'S LABYRINTH) as the titular entity.
